ABOUT CLAYFORMED ARTWORKS
Hi! I'm Charlene, the hands behind Clayformed Artworks.
I've been working in clay for over 30 years, ever since I earned my MA in Ceramics from Hood College in Frederick, MD.
Along the way I've owned my own studio and gallery in Old Ellicott City, sold my work at shows both small and large, supplied galleries across the country, and picked up a few awards and magazine features here and there.
These days my work has grown into a few different things I love. I still create limited-production ceramic art, but I've also turned my attention to the tools that make pottery possible, designing and producing texture mats and other tools that potters use in their own studios. I sell and repair kilns too, because I know firsthand how much a good, working kiln means to your craft.
Pottery is a down-to-earth kind of art, and that's exactly how I want Clayformed Artworks to feel: approachable, a little whimsical, and made by someone who's been in the studio right alongside you for over three decades. I'm glad you're here.
